EXCITING NEWS - FLORENCE BIENNALE 2005 IN FLORENCE, ITALY

Chanhassen artist Josse Ford has been selected by an international jury to participate in the 2005 Biennale in Florence Italy which will take place in the historic Fortezza da Basso from 3 to 11 December 2005. The Florence Biennale, now in its 5^th generation, is the world's most comprehensive exhibition of contemporary art, representing more than 800 artists from 72 countries.

In 2001, the United Nations recognized the Florence Biennale as an official partner in the program "Dialogue Among Nations". In the words of U.N. Secretary General, Kofi Annan: "Artists have a special role to play in the global struggle for peace. At their best, artists speak not only to people; they speak for them. Art is a weapon against ignorance and hatred and an agent of public awareness… Art opens new doors for learning, understanding, and peace among people and nations."

PARK CITY ARTS FESTIVAL

Where: The Arts Festival will take place on Saturday, August 7 and Sunday, August 8, 2004. Hours of operation are 10 am- 7 pm on Saturday and 10 am- 6 pm on Sunday.
